Didnโt like no drinking water in the room, but love this hotel as my Granny used to run it in the 50/60ies so itโs like going to grannyโs house for me .

The Murray Arms is the place to stay while in Gatehouse of Fleet. Kind people and a lovely village!

The Murray Arms requires updating and some investment. The decor is as it was when my in-laws were growing up in Gatehouse in the 50s, the menu is also stuck in this time vortex.
Our family room was clean and basic. Unfortunately the Wi-Fi and the TV did not work. I have a feeling this is a common problem but no one is willing to spend the money to fix it. We had our evening meal in the 'refurbished' dining area with its damp ceiling and musty smell. The quality of food was poor and overpriced. The staff were very helpful.
