The location was convenient for our stay as it was only about 5 km from my son’s home and this and the fact the Grand Prix was on and other hotels were out of our budget was the reason for choosing the property.
Our original room was totally wrong for our needs. We were placed in a room catering for disabled patrons. There was no shower screen, water from the shower went everywhere including all over the toilet, and the floor was a slipping hazard. This was rectified the next day by a lovely female duty manager who arranged to move us to another room and we appreciated the speedy resolution of our complaint.
I would like to add that the housekeeping service during our stay left a lot to be desired. Basics like tea & coffee were not replaced at all, I had to ask for toilet paper and tissues to be replaced, and on some days, the cups and glasses were not cleaned, towels were not replaced and rubbish was not removed.
We paid a premium price of $2233 for 7 nights twin share accommodation and it was a disappointing experience overall. The beds were clean and comfortable though.
