At first glance the room appeared clean. However, after a closer look we found many issues. We found food wrappers under the bed, and there was no telephone or clock radio. The bathroom was extremely small with barely enough room to close the door while you were in the bathroom. There was also evidence of poor repairs to the walls and baseboards. While brushing my teeth, I leaned forward and got a glimpse in the mirror of the backside of the false wall above the sink which was unpainted, stained, and peeling drywall and drywall tape. The bedding was scratchy and rough and the bed was extremely uncomfortable. There was broken and uneven concrete steps and sidewalk outside the room which presented a tripping hazard not only for myself, but also for my elderly mother who uses a walker. It was late when we checked in, and if we could have left immediately we would have, but my elderly mother was exhausted from traveling all day. Overall, the room was so uncomfortable and unsanitary that we had to leave first thing in the morning. We stayed 1 night of 6 and the staff refused to issue me a refund for the remaining 5 nights we did not use the room.
