Amazing place!
Amazing stay for the price! The property is both incredibly beautiful and clean. We loved the modern decor and the nearby trails were so beautiful. It felt like a little paradise in the middle of a small town. Only had minor issues with the laundry machine, which was broken. However, the hotel easily refunded us for the trouble, and called maintenance to fix it. Regardless, we will definitely be back!

Great Little Place
We were in town for a cross country meet and wanted to stay near by the night before. The Independent is a fun, boutique style hotel in a quaint little town that we could walk to most things for dinner, dessert and a nightcap. I would stay again if I am in need of a place to stay in the area.

We were there celebrating my daughter’s 21st birthday, as it was a convenient distance from her college campus, and the staff went out of their way to make sure that her day was memorable. The restaurant was great, and the breakfast was good, which is not always the case with free hotel breakfasts. Would definitely stay here again.

Good hotel
We stay here annually as we visit relatives in the area. The hotel is always clean and the front staff welcoming. Our only complaint is that the included breakfast quality has declined every year. This year I couldn’t even find someone to ask for a glass of water since none was available in the dining room. Ended up going into the lobby to get one. Will still stay here when we visit though.
