We booked a junior king room two weeks ago and were upgraded to the king spa room without telling us it was an upgrade. We booked the same room this time and did not adjust expectations accordingly bc we didn't know. When we asked about the first room we had, we were told it would double our room price to upgrade to that room which we did not want. The first room we were given was in rough shape. There was clearly a couch/armchair or bed missing from the room and a big empty space there. The bed had not been changed and the bathroom had clearly been used and not cleaned. They happily put us in a new room at our request and it was in slightly better shape. Bathroom was clean but the bed again had not been changed. We requested new linens for the bed and they came in and changed those while we were out for dinner. The front desk staff were very apologetic but I shouldn't have to ask for the bare minimum in the first place. We were on the first floor and our suite had a door that joined with the adjacent suite. The next room's patrons checked in late, around 11, and were very noisy. I could hear conversation, so there isn't much sound dampening between rooms. They also tried multiple times to open the adjoining door but it was obviously locked on our side. The people above us stomped around from 10 til about 1am. The heat unit did not work in our room and the shower has so much pressure, it hurt, but it was hot.
