Solid 3.5 stars, good value for money, great food
This is a solid 3.5 stars kind of place. We stayed in a Majestic Colonial swim-up junior suite. The pools and beach are great, most of the facilities are nice, the food and buffet is outstanding, and the general service is not bad. Attention to detail is lacking compared to a five star resort, but the price difference notes that you should expect that. For example, my family and I (wife, two small kids) traveled about 30 hours to get here. We had asked the resort before arrival to ensure the sofa bed in the room was set up for the kids so we could all go asleep quickly. When we got there, the AC was not running, the room was hot, and the sofa wasn't a couch and no one had any record or consideration of our request. It then took a couple painful hours to get cots, sheets, and enough drinking water to settle in. Waking up to a swim-up pool is near perfect, and being able to walk at sunrise across all three resorts was wonderful. Nice beach, lots of seafood when we stayed in July. The staff and food at the buffet were real highlights. I liked that the parties and adult-oriented activities were elsewhere in the resort or at the neighbor resort adult-only pool/beach areas, but you still have a swim up bar if you want, very family friendly. The room itself was big enough to manage for 3-5 days, but was clearly for a romantic couple. Bath tub in the middle of the room and frosted glass bathroom doors. A solid resort if you want family time and value for money. We would visit again.
