2/10 Poor

Horrible experience, ruined the start of our trip
The hotel is fairly new, we booked two rooms for a family of 4 adult and 1 youth. Check in was terrible we got to the room and the rooms was set up for two adult, the second bed was not in the room, after numerous calls to the the reception, a bed was provided at 12am hours after check in. Second day, we were my 13 year old was discriminated against in the restaurant which was reported to the managers. At that point non of our party wanted to eat in the restaurant. The manager offered as a Will of good gesture to book us into the different restaurant, however the first restaurant we were booked in refused us entry as we were not on the guest so we went without dinner that night. Again this was reported to the night manager who offered room service for a sandwich at 7:30pm but sandwich did not come until 11:30pm. We spend us entire holiday leaving the hotel in the morning and coming back to sleep at night. Despite we paid all inclusive, we did takeout throughout our holiday. Room was not cleaned and there were plates left out in the hallway for days. These issues were logged with the hotel and to date no compensation was given. Another guest while we were they reported theft while we were complain about the hotels the service we received Daniel from customer experience and another manager were approachable along with a handful of staff member were friendly, however, some check in staff especially the lady that checked us in was very dismissive and unfriendly.

Good stay
The stay was overall ok not too bad but not too impressive either. The staff weren’t always the friendliest and room service was kind of slow but were reliable enough for all of your needs. The pool was huge but I wish it was open longer, though I kind of understand for safety reasons given the 24/7 open bar lol. The buffet food was always fresh and delicious although I wish it was easier to get a res for the sister resort restaurants would have loved to try those. Overall I’d say this is a good place to stay if you want to spend more money on activities and souvenirs than food and lodging. I would stay here again.

Except the unexpected
Honestly was worked due to the mixed reviews about service and construction but my experience was far from that! Everyone was very welcoming and friendly, check-in was super quick and easy! Staff at the restaurants were very attentive, it is a bit more relaxed with seating so pick a table and someone will be over (Harbour restaurant). Overall everything was great! I would come back

I didn’t like how it was advertised that the spa was included in the all inclusive and it wasn’t. The property and stay was good overall, food and entertainment was amazing and the cleanliness of the hotel was excellent!

The property has a clean and beautiful pool, but it’s over 5 feet deep everywhere. It is a clean resort with many food options. There are several bars to choose from. They are doing construction but it did not bother me. Nice balcony off the room.

8/10 Very Good

This resort is very clean. The rooms are comfortable, the beds were medium to firm, and the shower had good water pressure and temperature range. The AC worked well and the mini fridge was always refilled with beer, soda, water and Iced Tea. The balcony is nice with rods so you can keep your items out to dry easily. The outlets are all European, so US visitors should bring an adaptor. There are USB-A and USB-C ports that work great. There is a safe available and a phone, but no clock. All reservations for the al a carte restaurants at the Mangrove can be done via website they give you at check-in and they were good, with the BBQ being out of this world. The Seafood Tavern and Dushi Sushi make some really good fish that my wife enjoyed and she is not normally a big fan. The Italian is fine, but nothing to get excited for. The Turkish restaurant was amazing and very authentic. The Mexican was not great and needs to be revamped. The drinks are good and almost anything you want can be made. The biggest issue for us was the check-in. The reception people are unhelpful and unfriendly. They ran us around at check-in for 2 hours even though they told us our room was cleaned and should be ready. The staff overall needs some training on hospitality, but there were some good people (Otun, Ebebentiku, and Vienny). The pool is deep and is about 5'5" throughout the whole thing, thankfully it was clean.

The overall experience was amazing. Reading reviews by others made me a little hesitant, but after actually getting here I was really happy. The food is amazing. The rooms were clean and tidy, staff were friendly and helpful at all times. I would recommend to anyone. It was a great experience for my family and I.

Honestly can't think of 1 bad thing about this property. If i had to nitpick on something it could only be the shower not having a full door. Perhaps it's just me, but i can't get used to showing with only half a die and the floor getting soaked out i have to maneuver the water and myself so that doesn't happen, but other than that, the staff was friendly, helpful, outgoing. Having a break and the pool, and so many options for dining, was perfect. Also, it was only a 15 minute walk to the city centerv and that was nice as well.

4/10 Fair

The property was very modern and beautiful. However, don’t come here expecting resort all inclusive service. It seemed as if everywhere on the property they were under staffed. If you don’t have patience to sit at a restaurant for 2-3 hrs waiting for food, I wouldn’t recommend staying here. Once the food arrived I was satisfied with the meals. The buffet would often leave out cold food. They don’t have servers by the poolside and would require everyone to walk to the one near bar. The highlight of our stay was that we were able to enjoy our time at the sister hotel pool bar and the beach bar. They had an amazing set of bartenders who were very friendly and hospitable throughout our entire stay there. However, please know that you will get woken up at 8am by loud drilling and construction noises happening right next door to your room everyday LOL

I stayed here because of the reviews but no one mentioned that there are Rats on this property that come out at night and it was the nail in the coffin for me! I’m never coming back!!! The GOOD: the room seemed to be clean. Water is nice but not clear. Resort was not crowded. Now for the rest of the BAD: -There seems to be NO supervisory person ON DUTY here. No one cares when there are issues. No one is in charge here. -Reception staff gave us the keys and did not provide a meaningful orientation of the property whatsoever. -There is a lot of construction going on at this hotel September/October 2024 so if you expect to sleep in forget about it. -A nice cheese tray awaited us in our room on the first day BUT THE CHEESE WAS MOLDED!!! I told the employee who was delivering the trays and she didn’t seem to care. -BE WARNED- THIS HOTEL’s WATER sometimes DOES NOT GET HOT ENOUGH FOR A HOT SHOWER. -Dirty moldy cushions on loungers -We stayed in a swim up room but I started to question the cleanliness of the pool because of the oil and bugs floating at the top. -I ordered room service for 9 am breakfast but it never showed up. I called the “service” number and no one answered. -Parking lot is dirty -Bars were filthy. Bartenders didnt wipe countertops in a timely manner and would serve our drinks on the filthy top. I had to ask for then to wipe up the sticky, wet messes left by previous patrons. This place needs help.

The property is beautiful however the management need organization. For example, the bar staff not consistent with making drinks, they could be more friendly which would allow people to tip more. Restaurants are good. Food selection is good. Need a little bit of night life such as the culture and music of the country.
