My recent three-day business trip required a stay at the Inn of Long Beach, and unfortunately, the overall experience was underwhelming. While the hotel staff were consistently friendly, helpful, and professional, the facilities themselves left much to be desired.
The hotel appeared dated and poorly maintained, which impacted my comfort. The room was basic, providing only the bare necessities like soap, shampoo, and towels. The absence of amenities like lotion or other toiletries was a significant drawback. Additionally, the noise from the street was quite disruptive, making it difficult to rest.
My biggest concern was the surrounding area. It did not feel particularly safe, which added to my unease during my stay.
On a positive note, the staff truly made an effort to compensate for the hotel's shortcomings. They were courteous and responsive to my needs.
In conclusion, while the staff's excellent service was a highlight, the hotel's outdated facilities, limited amenities, street noise, and location safety concerns make it difficult for me to recommend the Inn of Long Beach for business travelers. I hope management will consider addressing these issues to improve the guest experience."
