Hole in the cellar with no way to contact anyone

When I arrived late in the evening the room was freezing cold due to an open window. The room had no normal fix heating but only a mobile radiotor blocking access to the room. In general the room looked nothing like the pictures on the web page and didn’t even have a normal window due being in the cellar. Worst was the bathroom which was dirty, had black mold and the sink came off the wall. Being asthmatic I couldn’t even take a shower in the morning as the black mold is a health risk with the steam from the hot water. I tried to reach someone but couldn’t under the provided number as there‘s none at the reception. I then tried to write them by email but it took 2 days to get an answer to my initial mail and then only questions regarding when I‘ve stayed and contacted them and why I didn’t call. I‘ve stated in my initial mail that I‘m currently staying at the hotel with the information of the room number. After a bit of back and forth it stopped completely. After 14 days I‘ve sent another inquiry asking them if they don’t take this seriously to which I got the answer that my mail has been forwarded again and that they hope to get an answer ASAP and then radio silence again. I would strongly recommend to not book this hotel after that experience.

No on-site support, difficult to deal with

Mother- daughter 24 hr trip to Iceland wasted 4 hrs trying to gain access to hotel which had yearly carnival going on in front of it blocked from access all around. We reserved handicapped rooms and needed access but no help was avaliable from hotel and no refund for all our inconvenience. There is no in-site support to complain to. The local search & rescue was a helpful as could be and got us access but only after much time. It was VERY DIFFICULT AND NOT WORTH IT!

Auto check in uñu al llegar poca liz y no bien indicado. Llegamos a eso de las 2 de la mañana y todas las calles cortadas por algún tipo de evento, ya todo cerrado pero sin señalizar, poca luz, …un caos. El hotel podría haber avisado y proponer una ruta alternativa

Awful way to end a trip to Iceland

Would recommend - to an enemy. Front door slammed shut all night, super loud. Could hear everything in every other room all night long. There is no reception and the property did not send information to access the room despite several attempts to contact them. Total disaster of a hotel.

Great for a long layover

Great for a layover! Very easy self check in, they send you an email with room number and code. The code is on the door of the room (needs to be lightened up. Hard to find.) The room is very clean and comfortable, has everything you need for a short stay. The hotel is attached to a restaurant which is convenient. There are also a few other restaurants within walking distance. It’s in a very quiet little area, ocean views, and a museum with some shops nearby. The only problem I had was the lack of transportation options in this area. Go get there I had to take an overpriced cab from the airport. The hotel is not really walkable from the airport, but it’s a 9 min drive. Unfortunately it cost me $45 usd each way with local taxis!! No other public transport. It was difficult trying to find a taxi the morning of, took some time and still so overpriced. But that was the only option. I suggest the hotel should find a partnership with a local shuttle or taxi company.

Never again

Very small room, in bad condistion and not so clean. Vad small, the bed old and. Could hear whar people in next r8om and on the hallway were saying. Broken window, bathroom dirty and in very bad condistion hard to close the door. Tv did not have a single channel.

Disappointing stay

We stayed here on August 23rd and unfortunately it was one of the worst hotel experiences we’ve ever had. When we arrived, we couldn’t even get into the building because the key code wasn’t working – we had to call customer service just to get in. Once inside (Room 202), the room was honestly in a really poor state: Hair in the bathroom and even in the bed sheets. Dust everywhere – on the headboard, windows, even the extractor fan which was completely caked in it. Dead flies on the windows. Stains all across the bedroom floor. The TV didn’t work and was literally held together with masking tape. Shower curtain way too big for the shower, which made it unusable. Would not recommend this hotel until they seriously improve the cleanliness and basic maintenance of the rooms.

Don’t stay ever. Total scam! Unsafe!

Worst. “Hotel.” Ever. Imagine a dirty, moldy, horror film storage closet turned into a “room.” Complete with sketchy electronic lock and ground floor door with cracked window. Absolutely no way to lock the main door from inside….i stacked furniture to create a barricade. The other door was simply put in to comply with fire safety egress….again, not secure at all. “Room” overlooks a working doc and is below a restaurant. Constantly noise 24/7. Patio….fore escape was littered with broken bottles and cigarettes…..showed signs of homeless staying there at night. TV was non-functional. No other amenities. Bathroom shower was full of mold and smelled of sewage. I literally packed up in the middle of the night and went to sleep at the airport after random yelling, fighting, and banging on my door occurred. There is NO on site staff for assistance.

God restaurant men dyrt rom i forhold til standard

Veldig bra sjømat i restauranten. Ingen resepsjon og ingen plass å ta inn før kl 15. heldigvis var det fint vær. Hotellet er av gjennomsnittlig minus standard. Ser slitt ut. Rom var ok men små. Pris og standard hrnger ikke sammen. Ingen egen flyplasstransport men kun 7min med taxi.

Verdreckt und überteuert

Wir wollten den letzten Tag unseres Urlaubes in der Nähe des Flughafens verbringen und hatten bei einem Preis von ca. 345 EUR pro Nacht und aufgrund der Beschreibung ein Boutique-Hotel mit schönem Blick auf den Hafen erwartet. Leider erfüllte das Hotel diese Erwartungen überhaupt nicht. Die Terrasse war überschwemmt und voller Dreck / Abfall. Einziges Mobiliar war ein rostiger, schiefer Tisch. Die Fenster waren offensichtlich seit geraumer Zeit nicht mehr geputzt worden, und so konnte man kaum hindurchschauen. Das Zimmer und das Bad waren nur notdürftig geputzt worden: in den Ecken und unter den Vorhängen gab es Dreckhaufen. Möbel waren gar nicht gereinigt: der Waschbecken-Unterschrank, der Bad-Ventilator, etc. waren verdreckt, der Duschvorhang wurde unten bräunlich, auf den Türen waren überall Handabdrücke der vorherigen Gäste. In der Zimmerdecke des Bades gab es ein mit Papier gestopftes Loch; ein Duschschlauch fehlte, so dass das Wasser direkt aus der Wand kam. Inventar, wie z.B. Fenstergriffe waren abgenutzt, die Handtücher zerschlissen. Auf unsere Beschwerde gab es nur die lapidare Antwort, dass es nun mal stark geregnet habe und kein anderes Zimmer verfügbar sei. Wir würden von diesem Hotel absolut abraten.

Convenient to KEF, one night is ok

Able to check in a few hours early which was very nice. Thin walls and very loud front door which meant you could hear it slam at all hours people coming and going. friendly Staff. Bathroom was tiny, no where to set anything or hang towels. Broken toilet paper holder.
