The hotel's customer management is extremely inade
We arrived a day later than originally expected due to flight delays and schedule cancellations. Despite having pre-booked a two queen bed room, upon arrival, we were informed by the hotel check-in staff that it had been sold to someone else because we didn't show up. While it's frustrating enough that our reserved room was given away despite us having paid for a four-day stay, the fact that there was no two queen bed room available immediately, and we had to wait until 3 PM due to the flight delays and schedule cancellations, forced us to reluctantly check into a one king bed room to rest our weary bodies. Whether this situation aligns with proper hotel check-in procedures warrants further investigation, but it doesn't seem fair or justifiable to sell a reserved room to someone else just because the original occupants arrived late, especially when the full payment has already been made on my credit card. The check-in staff argued that we should have been notified of the delay in advance, but it's important to acknowledge that communication with travelers coming from overseas and while in-flight is limited. Furthermore, the one king bed room we ended up checking into, out of necessity, lacked amenities compared to the initially reserved two queen bed room, yet there was no sense of apology or remorse from The Blackstone Hotel regarding this inconvenience. While the cleaning staff were friendly, the overall standard of customer service at the hotel leaves much to be desired.
