Check-in takes long time. Marriott membership check-in is also handled by 1 staff, so it takes quite a while during peak times. This is the first time I've seen a hotel where more than 10 guests wait to check in and only 1 staff is assigned to the front desk.
I experienced racism several times during my stay, I had never experienced during my long trip to the US.
The male concierge(morning) was very helpful.
The female concierge(evening) made me wonder how she was doing her service work.
She was very friendly to other guest standing in front of me and talked to that guest for over 13 minutes, laughing and chatting while showing photos and videos from her phone.
After that, it was my turn. Since 1 of 2 restaurants in the hotel was closed for some reason, I asked if there was room service option. It was past 7:30 on a weekend, so most of the restaurants around the hotel were closed or about to close. She just handed me a piece of paper and didn't give me a proper explanation.
Then, when I tried to ask another question, she picked up the phone in front of her and dialed the number, clearly showing she was busy and didn't wanna answer any more to me.
This hotel has a daily resort fee. When I asked to split the bill so that I could pay for the drinks and food I ordered for two rooms, the server and bartender got angry at me. This was something I'd never experienced at other hotels that charge resort fees. Other manager came and resolved the bill issue at the POS, and apologized.
