I arrived late in the night for the check in and staffs greeted with smile and they were very helpful and kind. I wasn’t expecting anything beyond the standard but frankly speaking I was very disappointed with the room Mercure provided me.
1. As soon as I entered the room, I could feel this wet air surrounding the room. The humidity was so heavy I almost thought I was in a rainforest. It was heavy enough to wet the floor. FYI it wasn’t due to raining.
2. Of course, I did turn on the A/C but it didn’t get better. Due to humidity, pillows and linens started to smell like a rotten feet. I am already back home but I still cannot get rid of that disgusting smell from my nose.
3. Washatand was already clogged from the first day of my check-in. And the smell from sewer started to reflux.
4. There was some kind of gatherings of motorcycle community which I could bear because the public karaoke ended around 10pm. But the problem was with the hookers they brought with them. They were keep going back and forth down the hall until 3 -4 am. And this guy’s partner who was staying beside my room was making gigantic moan until the morning.
I won’t say stay away from this hotel because all of above can be fixed. I just didn’t feel comfortable moving around switching my room due to possibility of Covid exposure. So if you are expecting somewhat decent I recommend you to check your room before you enter.
