Excellent for the budget conscious traveler.
My second time staying here, it's excellent value and right where I needed to be. No amenities at the hotel but next door is a fish and chip shop, a short walk away is a petrol forecourt shop with fast food franchise, cash point. A little further are three pubs, a restaurant and supermarkets, Chinese takeaway etc. If you seek luxury this isn't the hotel for you, but for the budget conscious traveler it's perfect!

Absolutely awful, I waited ages for someone on reception despite ringing the bell over 4 times, then someone appeared from what looked like the office next to reception, no apology given for the wait, no name badge / uniform and they kept their ear pods in! The room clearly had not been cleaned, the floor was covered in dirt, cups had been used and the bedding had not been changed but turned over! I told the member of staff and he said very quietly sorry to which I asked for clean bedding which he handed to me as clearly he was not going to do it!

Room was disgusting, toilet and bathroom dirty, blood on toilet roll, bin not emptied and floor not hoovered, curtain too small for window. Got moved to another room, slightly better but still dirty, bin not emptied, toilet broken. Toiletries from previous guests in bedroom drawers. Housekeepers trolley in hall all day with master keys in full view, took these down to reception. Got moved again , still not a clean room, heating not working and rubbish under bed. All rooms have the kettle and lamp socket behind one of the beds pillow ?! The hall ways were dirty and not hoovered. Parking expensive .

Staff were great. I had to ask for a clean cup as the ones in my room looked like they hadn't been washed properly. The tray which the tea and coffee was dusty. I think that the bedrooms could possibly do with a bit of make over. But other than that everything was ok.

When I arrived to check-in, the receptionist (his name was Tiger) walked away from the desk when he saw me coming, returned some time later, and seemed annoyed that I wished to check in. His entire demeanor was disinterested, unfriendly stand-offish and blunt. He didn't even greet me, just stared at me from behind the desk until I asked to check in. He appeared reluctant to answer any of my questions and gave blunt responses. He didn't give me any information about wifi or checkout times, just passed me the key, told me about a non-smoking policy, and told me my room number. He did not appear welcoming or eager to help in any way, and it was clear that he did not wish to be there. This was not a good start to my stay in the hotel. The condition of the room was absolutely unacceptable. The carpet was filthy, with multiple stains and sticky patches throughout. The walls were damaged, and coated in multiple areas with dried-brown liquid. The sink within the bathroom had black mold growing on it. The room had a musty odor and was incredibly small. The "double bed," was two single beds joined together, with a huge ridge in the middle which was extremely uncomfortable. The television remote was missing. There was no do-not disturb sign to attach to the door.

Due to some reason i can not come to live there, I call twice at the hotel for refund or change the guest name as I already paid full amount. The receptionist said, our manager will call you but it's almost 5 days we did not get any call. you do not care about guests. You just need money.

A pleasant experience
First impression was a very friendly greeting and a cheery disposition from Elini (sp) on reception. The hotel appears to have been redecorated recently (Nov 2024) and everything in good order. The room was compact but comfortable, with the basic amenities, it boasted a television with subscription channels and of course the hot drinks tray. I was very happy with my stay and I will definitely consider using this place when I'm back in Quedgeley next January.
