The room was clean upon arrival, but there was not any cleanup service during my 3 night stay. After the second night I asked the front desk to have a full service cleaning. Later that night when we returned to room, there had still not been any cleanup service provided. The phone was not connected in the room and I was unable to notify the front desk until the next morning, in person. Once I informed them about the absence of service, the 2 female workers said there was a staff shortage due to 3 staff members calling out and offered their apologies. I was so disappointed with the service, I forgot to let them know the phone service was out in my room. In addition, I attempted to attend breakfast on my second day, but the majority of the trays were empty. I was told they would be re-filled shortly. I waited for some time, before deciding to just have a biscuit. Lastly, I think it would be a good idea to rid the hotel of the carpet, because it gives off a musty scent and not in a good way.
