Just okay
I was in Tampa for party and the hotels that were recommended were very expensive, so I was looking for something more affordable and found this hotel online. Unfortunately, it was not close enough to walk to where my friends were staying, so that was a bummer. They do provide a shuttle bus to take you wherever you want to go within a 2 mile radius, so that was very helpful. The shuttle drivers were so nice and extremely helpful!! I found the hotel itself a bit rundown, outdated and not the cleanest. There was no alarm clock in the room, nowhere to charge your phone either.

It's a mix of the good & bad of past t reviews
I read plenty of reviews before booking and it seems to be a mix of the bad and the good reviews. Pros: VERY comfy bed & pillows, AC gets cold, great water pressure, lots of hot water, nice dual head shower, front desk staff was great, restaurant on premises (good crispy wings & fries), 4 fast elevators. Couldn't hear any hall, other rooms or elevator noise. Shuttle service to anywhere within 2 miles. Roomy parking spots Cons: Carpet in room feels gross, absolutely NO counter space in bathroom, 'some' outdatedness to the room (popcorn ceiling, old looking yellow painted walls), no cold vending machines with drinks (had vending machine with snacks & drinks, but drinks were warm. There was a 'snack' room in lobby with cold drinks, but a 20oz coke was $5. Restaurant doesn't bring food to room and they DO NOT answer the phone, must go downstairs and place order. For me, the pros outweigh the cons. I would stay again.

Good for the money
Entering the lobby feels like you're in a newish contemporary hotel. Once arriving to your floor that feeling changes, at least on the 7th floor. I'm thinking this was a retro fit, nothing wrong with that, in fact I love making use of older buildings. Our room was small but adequate, 2 comfortable queen beds (and linens), large tv, mw, frig and the means to make coffee/tea. The bathroom was small but again, adequate. It was also nicely updated, but really could use comfort height commodes. However, there was an odd odor which lingered, not overpowering but just there. Colors in the hall, at least on 7, are garish: bright yellow and cobalt blue, they could do better with the interior design choices, and could probably command a higher price if they did. I hope they don't as the price is quite good and location convenient. I'm pretty fussy and i would stay here again. BTW, check in/out was a breeze.

Not pleased
We were not pleased with this stay. We used our Hotel.com cash so we didn't pay full price thank God! But we had to call down to the front desk twice for hot water. The second time we called we were preparing to leave for a flight, and we were told to run the sink and shower at the same time for the water to get hot. If that didnt work they would call maintenance. We only stayed there because we were flying out of Tampa from our vacation in Orlando. So just leaving a great hotel in orlando to go to this one and have to deal with hot water issues was frustrating. Then as my sister was getting dressed in the bathroom, i hear all this bumping around. She was trying to kill a roach. NEVER AGAIN! Like i said i appreciate the cash points i had accrued from using hotel.com because if i would have had to pay the $200 for one night, i would have been very upset! Lesson learned!

Absolutely atrocious
Absolutely horrible. The first room we went into had dirty chips on the ground hadn’t been vacuumed and then upon going into the restroom, there was somebody’s dirty underwear on the ground, which means they didn’t check this room at all. Then they say that they are going to give us an upgrade, put us in an older room on a higher floor that was just as bad at that point I just gave up. We were there because we were out of power during hurricane and we just needed sleep, but I would not recommend this hotel to anybody thinking that it’s something special definitely not worth almost $300 per night.

Disappointing Trip
My room smelled like stale cigarettes. The floor in the bathroom needed a deep clean. There was no conditioner. The checkin staff was under staffed and I had to wait 20+ minutes and then when I checked out they offered to email my receipt, they never sent it and I have followed up and never heard back.
