Arrived at 3:15. Was told room was not ready, q5 minutes. An hour and a half later i demanded to speak with a manager. The event we were attending started at 7pm. It was after 5 when we go in room. Did not have time to have a dinner. Also, the threes times i check on availability (twice in person, once via phone) of my room, knowing the $591 fee was already completed the transaction, i spoke with a polite young man when a mouthy desk clerk,Ryan, said (when i asked about the wait) said "you and everbody else."
The manager did get us our room. Told us to get a drink at the bar.(i and my grandson dont drink). I asked for parking to be compted.
Wasnt.
I have come to this hotel twice a year for about 8 years. It's a treat. But this was worst experience ever.
I had worked 13 hours the night before, hadn't sowered, slept 1 hour, drove 4 and a half hours from Ashland, Ky, and made to wait over an hour and a half.
I have a non refundable, (already paid for) through Hotels.com, in October and would like to cancel reservation.
This experance has ruined what we have always found as a great experience.
