Our stay here was fine, no real issues to complain about, but at the same time I couldn’t 100% recommend it.
The rooms are an interesting design that will not suit everyone, it’s an older property which has for the most part been very nicely converted, but the rooms lack some thought. There is a bed, a shower, a sink and a toilet, these feel a little like they have been thrown together haphazardly - there is no ‘bathroom’ to speak of, it was particularly strange having the sink next to the bed.
For us this isn’t a massive problem but depending on your relationship with your roommate this could be awkward. Furthermore, the lack of attention to detail with things such as where the towel hooks are positioned, meant walking out into the bedroom and around the corner of the door to grab the towel. Also there are no drawers to put clothes away in. An open rail which is fine and then an unusable shelf which is too high up to put your clothes on.
Small things that could easily be rectified - tissue box in the room, and get rid of the disposable plastic bottles of water in place of glass bottles.
Location is excellent, and I would recommend it for that if nothing else. I’d recommend asking for a front facing room though, as our room looked out towards the back which was a slightly undesirable view (photo attached).
Staff are welcoming and efficient, value for money? I left feeling like it was a little on the high side in terms of price, but Barcelona is not a cheap destination.
