This review could have been avoided if the check-out clerk had asked one simple question: "How was your stay?" Instead, she only inquired about the room number I was checking out of and whether I needed a receipt.
Her lack of interest in my experience was disheartening, so I let it go.
I frequently stay at Double Tree hotels across the US, so I expected a standard Double Tree stay here. Unfortunately, that was not the case at all.
Upon checking in and entering my room, I opened the fridge and was greeted by the sight of rust and what appeared to be black mold. I immediately called the front desk, and while they did bring another fridge up, they merely placed the new fridge next to my nightstand instead of replacing the contaminated one.
To make matters worse, when I inspected the bedspread, I found a few spots that appeared to have plasma stains.
Overall, this stay was far below the standard I have come to expect from Double Tree. It was an experience that left much to be desired, and I hope the hotel takes steps to address these issues for future guests.
