Pool under maintenence, restaurant not open despite original reservation details stating both would be available. We even got an email the day before stating the pool would be open. Employee at check in not very sympathetic stating Expedia emailed out wrong information. Not sure how that's our fault? Balcony to ocean view was flooded and dirty. TV had only a few channels available and reception was grainy. Bed not very comfortable.

Staff great, building and rooms bad.
If you are looking for a hotel that has not been updated since the late 90s, this is your place! But it may not have been deep cleaned since then eitherโฆ Letโs start at the beginning. You are greeted by a failing neon, trash filled parking lot, and general unkempt feeling. The only operational door is half working. The other half is hanging on by a screw and a prayer. The fish tank wall in the lobby is - well - green; and just sad. The foyer had broken and loose tiles and a โcaution wet floorโ sign that was up the entire three days we were there. The carpeted areas throughout the building were *squichy* and damp. We were the only car in the parking lot at check in, clearly the only guest there the week after the 4th, and somehow still were placed in a room on the entire opposite end of the building. Not joking. It was a 1/4 mile walk to our room. Which normally would have been fine if any of the other external doors in the building were working, but they werenโt. Then as we walk up to our room we notice a pile of dirty bedding in the hallway RIGHT next to our room door. We just figured the crew was coming back to grab it soon since we checked in early. Boy, were we wrong. It remained there the entire stay and may still be there to this dayโฆ the bedroom area and bathroom were *generally* clean. But we still pulled out the Clorox wipes and didnโt touch anything without washing our hands.. Iโm out of room but check out the pictures for the patio, also bad... Staff was kind.

What was once a majestic facility is less now.

For the amount of money we paid it's not worth it.
We paid $1,300 for 2 room for 2 nights. No food of any kind. Hot tub jets didn't work.

A diamond in the rough
Unfortunately, the covid pandemic wasnt kind to this facility. The once beautiful lounge and resturaunt area is closed and appears to have been closed for years. Very sad because it used to be vibrant. The entire building definitely needs overall maintenence performed on the outside of the building. The roof needs pressure washed, all cement walkways and stairs need blown off or swept, theres bird feathers everywhere outside by exterior doors, entire building needs algea growth removed. Roof gutters have grass growing out of most of them, please weed eat/mow the exterior landscaping a bit and take out neglected trashcans. The inside of building is nice still, just take pride in what you have on the outside please. Top notch service with the pool and jacuzzi area. I would stay here again, even with what i wrote. It is still a lovely facility and people will enjoy their stay.

Check in with the oersin at the counter seemed strained he seemed like he was upset that we were checking in. There were no towels when I went down to ask for them it seemed like he was cery upset or put out that I asked for towels. We were ok with the lack of everything else.

Last minute booking was good. Facility is showing some wear, no daily room service, and ran out of coffee pods for the room. Desk service at check in was friendly and courteous. Room was clean and nice view from 4th floor. Patio/deck was unusable due to moss chunks and seagull droppings, but appeared they were power washing.

Definitely not well kept. Run down outside, gardens and roofs unkept.
No coffee, no cleaning of rooms for weekend 3 day stay. Ocean view with glass door and windows that had not been cleaned in a very long time.
Restaurant and lounge closed.

It wasn't as advertised. The restaurant and bar were closed since 2020--- that should have been revised online. That is why we booked our reservation with them. There was water on the floor in front of the bar sink, the room was not very clean, no kleenex, they were out of coffee, and only two towels. So we end up switching rooms. The new room was better, but just run down. I wouldn't recommend staying there.

Good but needs some TLC
We're pretty easy to please and understand circumstances beyond control. We visited out of season and they were kind and upgraded us to a larger room, but the larger room seemed to be set up for just one person. One coffee cup with a 1 Cup coffee maker. (No extra coffee available due to their delivery being delayed). There was a microwave that was very small and you could barely get a cup in there, but happy to have it- but no dishes, silverware or any other glassware But a small refrigerator! Yaay. Television had cable but most of the channels weren't working and there was no guide. Sauna and steam room looked like they hadn't been used or kept up for quite some time, but the pool and jacuzzi were good.
In general, we DID enjoy our stay. The staff were friendly, beds were comfortable, space was nice and large and having a view of the ocean and all the kites flying was spectacular.
We decided to stay two nights.

Horrible service, the pool door was broken so we would have to wait when someone was available to opened the door. The restaurant is closed down but is advertised on here, why? The rooms felt dirty & not properly maintained.. definitely should do some outside renovation as well because the signs looks like itโs falling off & there is people that walk on the sidewalk so it looks unsafe. I used to love coming out here to the shilo but it looks like they canโt take care of the hotel rightโฆ

I picked this property to start with because it was a Shiloh, but it sure did not meet what I would expect. I did have the ocean view I wanted and the floor was clean however there was much to be desired. There were no towels in the room (but this was corrected when I asked for them) but then there were other problemsโโthe toilet was not clean (feces from a prior renter), the coffee machine was missing the carafe so could not use it although there were supplies to make coffee, the hairdryer did not work, the bottom sheet had an inch corner tear in it, and the shade on the door toward the beach was frayed for about a foot and half on the right side. Many of these items are minor but surely not great for the price that I paid or for Shiloh which I expected to be a hirer rated hotel. The front desk person was very nice and I wish that I could have written a much more complementary rating and would have done so if I could have.
