The hotel was in a great location for us, and it being dog friendly it made since. The only issue we had was where the room was located. Major foot traffic which set our dog off hourly. No respect for quiet hours from anyone (even the front desk staff.) if we stay here again we will ask to be away from and foot traffic and the front desk area.

My favorite Niagara stay
One of my best stays in the whole Niagara region. The location is fantastic. Super close to the Peace bridge but still very quiet. Staff are fantastic. The rooms are comfortable and clean. And the area is great because not too many people ventures south of Niagara Falls so it's still very civilized.

Not the best in the area for value
Well worn hotel. Strange to see an indoor hotel without an elevator. There were blood trails on the bedding and pillows that looked like there might have been bedbugs although I couldnโt see any current activity. A bit of mold on the bathroom ceiling. I had to go back to check-in desk as neither room key worked. The clerk thought I didnโt know how to use a key card. Otherwise a standard low budget hotel with mostly workers as guests. Small crowded breakfast area not worth waiting for.

Need a bigger breakfast area.
The breakfast area did not have enough room to accommodate more then 14 people. It was extremely hot in there. We did not get to eat breakfast the first morning, however we did have a chance to eat the second morning. Still very hot and not much room to sit.
They where painting the outside of the building, it looked nice

Do not stay with pets.
We travel with our well trained dogs. Paid $180 extra for them to stay with us. One is a certified service dog. At no time were they left alone in the hotel. In the Niagra area, you can take your dogs everywhere with you. After the first day, we arrived back to our room and the bed wasn't even made. When I asked what had happened, I was told the staff reported there were dogs in the room. I corrected that error and was assured the note would be taken off our record. Second day, returned to same problem, now tod there were VICIOUS dogs in the room. At no time were any dogs left in the room with either my husband and myself. They even went to dinner with us. Worst service while traveling with my dogs ever!

Average. Room didn't have adequate lighting. After getting the blinds down, light wasn't enough. The room needed more lamps. Also, the breakfast area was too small to accommodate the guests.

Friendly staff. Good price.
Staff were super nice even though they were understaffed on the busiest season. The lady at the front desk went above and beyond in helping us. Breakfast was standard but sumptuous. It is an older building but the staff kept it well and clean

Do NOT Stay!
Room was small. Had an issue with ants. Reported to front desk, said they would spray. Ants still there, asked us if we brought the ants with us into the room. Said no, was not at a beach or anything.
Hotel having maintenance done.
Overheard employee tell another employee about the ants, with a comment of "again".
Client service should never assume a customer is the cause of the issue especially if pre existing.
This was a first time visit to Canada of friends and to be belittled to assume they caused the ant issue is unacceptable. Fort Erie has very few affordable lodging facilities. However WILL NEVER RECOMMEND THIS COMFORT INN TO ANYONE!!
