We had a wonderful stay at El CID Castilla in an oceanfront room. The all inclusive elite package provided a top level luxury experience for us. Staff was courteous and attentive.
The bands on the beach are incredibly loud and it would be a more enjoyable experience, especially in the afternoon, if they were not directly in front of the hotel. The mornings, evenings, and nights, were beautiful.
We had one bad experience dining at the Golf Club steakhouse. We ate there twice. On Friday November 22nd we had and incredible meal with flawless service and we decided to go back again. On Sunday November 24th we returned to the steakhouse. It was quite busy but we were served promptly. Unfortunately, my appetizer was forgotten. My friends, of course, would not start eating until everyone was served as is proper etiquette. I had to find a staff member and reorder my food. By the time it came, everyone’s food was cold and my hurried appetizer was burnt and not edible. I did not wish to eat it and sent it back. Our main courses were delicious with no issues. After the main course was finished, it took so long for our desserts that we decided to leave. We paid full price for a partial meal that was substandard for the cold appetizers. Although this was brought to the attention of resort staff, there was no offer of restitution.
This was the only poor experience of our stay. I would like to mention that the staff in the Cafe Elite were friendly and attentive. Thank you
