The positive:
great location within walking distance to the riverwalk.
Friendly staff
The not so positive:
Due to the colour of the flooring, you cannot see just how filthy dirty it is. After showering and walking around the room, my feet were black. A couple in a neighbouring room said their floor was the same.
We stayed for several days. The first day, the housekeeper didn’t see the note I’d left on my pillow because she didn’t make the bed. The only thing she did was change our towels. Period. Our last day, nothing was done…not even our towels.
Speaking of towels, they are in need of replacement. Besides being thin and dingy, the stains are disgusting. (I’ve attached pics of one such example).
I asked for Kleenex and hair conditioner. (They have conditioning shampoo which is not shampoo and conditioner in one). They don’t have any. Instead of Kleenex, she left me a roll of toilet paper.
As for breakfast, for the first few days, there was nothing to put on toast or bagels except butter…no jam, no peanut butter, no cream cheese. If your expected delivery of these items didn’t arrive (as we were told day after day), a trip to the grocery store should have been made.
The container labeled “Frosted Flakes” actually contained corn flakes. (I didn’t mind but a youngster wasn’t happy finding that out).
The coffee was hit and miss, sometimes looking like weak tea.
We have stayed at the Days Inn chain on many occasions and never experienced anything like this
