Okay for a Stop and Go
Had six days of family business to tend to and didnโt want to incur high lodging costs. Baymont served this purpose. The exterior of the hotel is above average for this price point. Staff is good at keeping the grounds free of litter and emptying trash bins. The lobby is less than appealing. The front desk window was dirty, the office was cluttered, and a book rack with informational materials on it had several pamphlets lying on the floor (and were never picked up)โall of which reflect weak housekeeping practices. Interior walls appear recently painted although the carpet is soiled both in the hallway and room. Room furniture is in great condition as is the refrigerator, microwave, HVAC unit, and hot water. Drawbacks were the well-used linen, loose sink handle, two of four wall light fixtures missing shades, dirty furniture tops, and a large black patch in the bath tub. Room air freshener could also enhance customersโ experiences. The breakfast was very poor. Offerings included cereal, waffles, toast, a fruit, and coffee. While the coffee was good, there were two cereal selections provided in two large public-use jars. This was totally unacceptable. Cereal should be served in individual containers for sanitary reasons. The waffle iron and associated countertop should have been frequently cleaned to remove drippings. As far as bread, only white bread was offered. All in all, the hotel has potential but management needs to dedicate more attention to details.
