Gunspoint instead of Greenspoint

We traveled to Houston for a Graduation party and every family member we told where we were staying referred to this area as ‘Gunspoint’ instead of Greenspoint. They all just said the area has a lot of crime, shootings and that the safeness has gone down over time. Room was clean, shower area was probably the only outdated part. Rust on the towel rack and the silver fixtures in the restroom. The wall closest to the shower had some damage. Also there were exposed wires by the ac unit. Phone was broken in my mom’s room and she told me she ended up googling the hotel just to get to the front desk. We had two king rooms with soda beds and my mom who stayed in the other room needed towels and they could only offer her one towel with one wash cloth and she had to travel downstairs to retrieve it. There were 3 adults and 4 kids split between the two rooms. We were at the end of the hall and stayed one night. Had no issues other than that. Although the hotel was nice, the area itself comes with a Warning. The hotel also has a gate surrounding the whole hotel lot with razored barbed wire. Pictured is my Moms phone. And one of the ac unit my Husband took to make sure they knew about the wires. It was good for a one night stay just stay in your room don’t go venturing out alone at night especially with kids. We were in bed by 10:30.

The only reason we give 4 starts instead of 5 on some of the areas it's because the hotel does needs an update on some areas (remodel/new stuffs and painting) better light and carpet or hard floor in the halways, lighter paint, as well as in the rooms. Our room was too dark even with all the lights on and the courtains open, the restroom towells rack was so old and rusty that it feels not very clean. The sofa bed sheets looks like they were there for a long time, full of dust, the sofa bed mattress feels old, you can feel the wires. Other than that the front desk young lady (pregnant) at night was super helpful and nice, breakfast was good too more than what expect compare to other hotels, do miss the waffles, they do have variety but no waffles. We will stay there again, like the location and the price.

Terrible customer service and GALSE ADVERTISING!!

Waited 2 HOURS for the airport shuttle to arrive at the airport to pick me up. The hotel is less than 10 minutes away so I was very upset about that. Talked with Management who didn’t seem to care to much about my issue. I booked this hotel bc the amenities listed online were what I needed. FALSE ADVERTISING! Online and in the hotel they advertised restaurant and bar inside the hotel which DOES NOT EXIST! They also said there is restaurants within walking and there isn’t. I had to pay for DoorDash for food and drink since I was here to celebrate cinco de Mayo! I just pray the shuttle is here to take me to the airport at scheduled time. This has not been a good stay so far

Estuvimos 5 noches pagadas por adelantado, el servicio fatal, las habitaciones sucias, con cucharachitos, los colchones incómodos, el inodoro todo descarapelado, solo ponían 1 toalla para manos, no limpiaban la habitación todos los días, el desayuno horrible, jamás me volvería a hospedar en ese hotel, me dio confianza por el nombre pero muy decepcionada.

Not meeting Hyatt's values

This place is horrible they do not live up to the Hyatt’s values of focusing on care, cleanliness, comfort, and personalized service for customers. The hotel is dirty and they cannot provide you with towels or blankets. I had six people and was only provided 3 towels for two days of my stay. The furniture is dirty and other areas of the room is broken and dirty.

Gotta bring down ur dirty towels

The stay started off shakey. When I got off my plane to arrive in Houston my card was charged for the stay of the room. I opted to pay at the hotel. My credit card put a fraud check on my card. That was inconvenient. The girl in the front was nice at first. We got to the room. It was nice but you could tell it was old. The beds kinda dipped in the middle and my cousins bed was pushing away from the wall when she would lay in it. The shower head was leaking while it ran and water got all over the floor. On the second day we left and came back and our towels had not been changed and our room had not been cleaned. I called nd the front desk girl said they could change our towels, if I brought down our dirty ones. Then when I told her okay can she have the maintenance bring new towels she said “I dont have her personal number.” When I asked for a manager she got an even bigger attitude nd said no manager was available. The next day the manager never reached out to us about our concerns.

Excellent Location, Friendly staff

Everything was perfect about the location and size of rooms. The property is older but well maintained. The only issue I had was the smell of smoke & cannabis in the room. I requested to be moved but was told by the desk that they were fully booked. If you have allergies or a very sensitive nose, make sure you request a room far from the elevators or on a floor not frequently used or you will experience the same discomfort that We experienced. Safe Travels.

Honestly the hotel is totally fine! It seems to have been recently renovated but there are occasional wonky features, like sink fixtures that bump into the mirror and poor shower ventilation, and it isn't walkable at all, but if you rent a car or are fine using ride shares to get where you need it's solid! Close to the airport as well which was convenient, and they have a complimentary airport shuttle which is cool! For my purposes, it served me me just fine and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to someone else if they have a reliable transport option! Staff was very friendly and helpful as well!

Very friendly staff. Breakfast is very good for what it is. Fitness room has nicely functioning treadmills, however should include a full weight rack. Only issue is the cosmetic damage of the toilet-paper holder and Television signal malfunction.

Ugh. Not all Hyatt’s are created equal. We were only here 8 hours and it was 8 hours too long. Bathroom was moldy, breakfast was served on styrofoam.
