We liked staying at the hotel it could use some updates, but other than that it wasn’t hard we liked our room and I like that we could sit outside. Only thing we didn’t like was that it needed to be updated so I can look cleaner.

We stayed here because of the price for a family of 4, and because it was so close to the village (which is not worth it). The room is a good size, but everything is very old, poorly maintained, and run down. It must have been nice decades ago, but apparently the owner didn't want to invest in the place anymore and it was abandoned many years ago. Everything needs to be renovated - simply everything. There is no breakfast, but there is a very large diner next door with good food. Walking distance to the old village (which we didn't like) and the Aquarium (excellent). However, you will need a car to go to Mystic downtown if you want to go sightseeing and eat at the best restaurants. Be careful, you can hear people talking in the next room, and you will be able to tell what they are watching on the TV next door.

This was one of the worst hotels I have ever seen. There was mold in the shower. The air conditioner did not work. The hotel and grounds smelled of marijuana and we did not feel safe. We did not stay the night. We asked the person at the front desk for a refund before leaving and did not get one.

First day we arrived the air conditioning was not working and it was the 4th of July weekend. The hotel had to replace the unit and it took all day for the room to cool down. The mini fridge was leaking and had to be replaced. There was no iron in the room only an ironing board. No coffee maker allowed in the room due to a failed fire inspection last month for the hotel. The hotel manager was no where to be found during our whole stay of 3 nights. One day we got the room cleaned and had to call the front desk for toilet paper. The room was listed as a superior room. Just for it being on the second floor. Paint on the wall was cracked and carpet was not cleaned. The shower had stains on the top. The hallway had a strange odor and the side entrance to the hotel was left unlocked, so anyone can have access into the hotel.

This place really needs an update. The lamp in our room was broken, the shower was moldy, and the condition of the doors and locks were creepy. My kids had a hard time falling asleep because they said they were so scared. There were sounds all night long like construction vehicles coming and going.

This hotel was the worst we have stayed at in years, and we travel fairly frequently. The hotel had multiple spiders living in a dirty bathroom, broken lights/switches, a stained floor, and terrible odor. The only positive was that we didn’t get bedbugs.

This is a terrible facility. The ice machine on our floor didn't work. The water fountain in the lobby didn't work. The shower curtain rod in the bathroom was bent almost in a U shape. There was a pervasive smell of cleaning fluids. The bath towels weren't even long enough to wrap around you. Need I go on?

Beautiful old, charming building in a great location! Expect all the delights, quirks, and character of staying in a building on the National Register of Historic Places. The beds were very comfortable and the air conditioning was able to keep up with a 95 degree day. We really enjoyed our stay!

The shower in our room was caulked horribly. There was mold. The bathroom faucet was loose. The room had a faint smell of cigarettes. The pool area was almost suffocating. It was so hot. And one night I tried for an hour to get a hold of the front desk before someone answered.

The hotel was absolutely disgusting—there was rust everywhere, from the bathroom fixtures to the pool area, making everything feel dirty and neglected. The room itself was far from clean, and the pool was in such poor condition it felt unsafe. On top of that, the staff was unhelpful and downright disrespectful when we voiced our concerns. We didn’t feel comfortable staying even one more minute, so we immediately left and booked another hotel.

Inexpensive compared to the rest of Mystic, but one sniff of the hallway will tell you wy. The entire place smells like mildew. The bathroom off the lobby was filthy. The rooms and hallways are very rundown, and the room bathroom looks like it hasn't been updated since the Carter administration. But it was clean, I'll give them that. Also, a 4PM check in time is super late, especially for a town that hosts a lot of weddings. The best thing was our bed. It was very comfortable and the area was very quiet.

The lady checking us in was very friendly and helpful. The hallway our room was in smelled like a dirty diaper all three days. There was no hair dryer in the room and the ironing board was broken. Housekeeping got us an ironing board from another room. I had my own hair dryer.

The front desk service was very polite, courteous and friendly. The hallway to our room had an awful mildew smell and our door felt sticky. Upon entering the room there as no smell however there was rust around the shower floor and paint was all chipped and walls looked dirty and could use a paint job. The rug felt dirty so I never took my socks off. This hotel needs a major upgrade all around. The two positive comments was the front desk, he was great and the location was great as well!

When I checked as soon as got in the room I noticed the garbage had not been taken out there were stains on the walls and place was disgusting. Not to mention the blood or something stains on the bed. I was checked out not even five minutes later and they refused to refund my money.
