At time of booking, months prior, I asked for a room not facing the main parking lot. Reason is, that even on a Saturday morning, you can hear at 5:30, above a noise machine, the dumpster truck collecting the trash of the nearby strip mall restaurants. You can also hear all the noisy pick up truck
With modified exhaust, or not, heating up idling for minutes on end. As well as other cars hooning on the main street the parking lot faces. And people entering and opening their vehicles at all times of day, might, and early early morning when you maybe want to speed. In comparison the highway next to the hotel is “quiet”.
I have been many times in this hotel, the rooms are clean, the doors to the corridor are not sound proof and slam (or guests slam them), and it is overall clean, but next time we might stay somewhere else where we can get a truly quiet room (or windows that are actually sound proof) when requested months in advance at time of booking.
Ps: the sheets are a polyblend that will make you sweat unless you set the AC to 65F, and the mattress cover (on top of a plastic mattress cover…) doesn’t stay put and you wake up with your body halfway on said plastic mattress cover, instead of a fitted sheet.
