This experience was absolutely horrifying. They lost my reservation, charged me twice for the stay claiming I never paid even though I had the receipt, THEY GAVE ME A KEY TO SOMEONE ELSE'S ROOM!!! Thank god they weren't in their room when I opened their door and walked into it or else who knows what could have happened! And then, after that, the manager walked us up to another room and there was a used bath towel on the floor!
I genuinely didn't want to write this review because the staff was so apologetic and doing their best to make up for it... at least I thought they were. They promised to put a bunch of points on my Bonvoy account for all of the inconveniences (which in the moment sounded like a lot but now I realize it's truly nothing). My stay was over a month ago and I still have not seen those points, even after several calls to corporate and the location itself. They keep telling me they will give me the points but can't even tell me when I should expect them. It's absolutely ridiculous and unacceptable.
As someone who has traveled regularly my entire life I have NEVER experienced ANY of the nightmares that occurred during this one stay. Even after everything that happened, I had every right to take drastic measures, I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt. But now I feel they've left me no choice. Marriott properties used to be my go to and now I don't think I'll ever stay with them again.
