Hotel was very clean and staff seemed to be helpful and polite for the most part. There was no AC in the executive suite and was informed there was an HVAC problem and they were trying to fix it. A box fan from maintenance was the fix and the room stayed close to 80 degrees the entire stay. I was later told that I wouldnโt be charged for the room but instead they charged my card a second time at the hotel for the amount of the room and then credited that amount back. The original payment I made through hotels.com I was still charged for so they didnโt actually do anything except make it appear as if I had been credited for the room. The physical hotel itself is not bad if your HVAC is working properly. The whole ordeal with charging me a second time and refunding that to make it initially appear as if I was receiving compensation for the stay with money I was already owed is petty, low and disrespectful. Thatโs not how any customer should be treated and frankly Iโm shocked that this is a representation of the Marriott hotel managerial staff.

Disappointment
We werr in town for our sons graduation from OSU and our stay ended on a disappointing note. The roof top restaurant bar was unexpectedly closed for maintenance on our 2nd night of our two night stay. This was very dispointing due to the fact that my wife and I planned to have dinner and drinks with our son here after hid graduation. This was the whole reason that i booked this specific hotel. We had to change our plans very last minute and most restaurants were already booked.

Beware of charges and fees
Our stay was good. The hotel was nice but I will say a little upset about charges I wasnโt aware of. We booked a hotel last minute for my daughterโs tournament in Columbus no where did I see the vallet charge or it was required. So the first night we were charged for it and the second night charged double for it because her dad (who is in the army came to visit and watch her games). We also tipped so that alone this weekend was $100. We also paid for the extra breakfast charge and Saturday they were unable to offer and had to close the breakfast area due to plumbing issues. So why did we still have to pay? When I asked they said because they still offered coffees and muffins in the lobby that day.

The front desk and rooftop lounge staff were so, so helpful and warm. They also had little sachets of lavender in the lobby for guests on a rainy day, I put one in my luggage on the way home. Nice attention to detail.
But really the standout element was the staff. Thank you!

They accommodated us arriving 5 hours early easily and provided us with a pristine room without us notice. They were courteous and professional, the entire hotel was extremely clean and well managed.

I'll be back
It was very nice overall. Bathrooms need some love. The shower was super cheap and somewhat dirty. The breakfast was ok, but that orange juice is gross. I would definitely stay again. Staff was friendly and Valet was quick. Great location if you're going to the expo center.
