Arrived, checked in, room looked decent. Found out after paying that air was broken, pool was padlocked, staff sent me a text and then refused to answer phone or texts. Would not let us end our stay early. Could not find anyone on Saturday except one very tired old man cleaning rooms. Breakfast was laid out and untended until after 4:00pm on Saturday. Sunday check out they owed us 50.00 cash deposit and my partner had to go behind desk and wake dude up off of a cot after trying to get someone’s attention from the service window outside first and then later from the check in desk. I have only had one other hotel/motel stay experience that rates as bad as this one and it’s hat one involved a 3:00am hooker fight in the parking lot of a Days Inn. Baymont by Wyndham used to mean something decent, but the taste this has left in my mouth I don’t know will ever leave. All we wanted was a low key weekend with just a nice pool and a few decent restaurants and what we go was a really bad joke and a terrible staying experience. If you are going to advertise that there is a pool and show pictures as nice as we’re on the listing, then at least have the decency to post that they are closed, dirty, never going to be opened, etc., so that I can pick a different motel to put my faith and money in. And then came the lovely survey text about how we enjoyed our stay. Although it wasn’t worth the time I took to answer the message from them, I did tell them kindly to cram their motel up their ass!
