4/10
Let me start with a positive. Jon checked us in and he was very accommodating when our first room smelled like an ashed tray. Thatโs where it ends. The pillows were torture devices. You should definitely bring your own unless you like lumpy things in your neck all night long. If you like a stiff bed, like one level up from sleeping on the floor then you will be okay. The housekeeping is definitely lacking here. The walls of the bathroom were dirty and there was blood on the door as we walked into our room. I have been staying in Raton for decades on our way to Vail and I promise you it is worth it to spend the extra money for the Quality Inn across the street.
The company should value John for his great customer service or this would be a one star across the board!
