First off, the hotel is nice. The rooms are spacious and decorated really well. The shower was amazing, nice and hot and excellent water pressure. The bed was comfy and the sheets were top notch. Our front desk associate at check out was very welcoming and funny and we just loved him. Firstly, this hotel says it’s on the Riverwalk. It’s not. You have to cross a busy freeway and walk at least 8 minutes to get there. Secondly, the drinks we ordered at the bar didn’t taste at all like the description. It tasted like pure alcohol, made by the bartender who had to ask another girl how to make them. We decided to go down to the speakeasy afterwards, which was far better by the way. We bought four breakfast vouchers, which give you one bakery item and one drink item, but we only ended up using two because the bakery hardly had any selection. I thought the drink could’ve been a coffee but was rudely told it wasn’t. The selection ranged from bottled water, orange juice, vitamin water, etc. I still ended up paying for the coffee myself. I was under the impression that the coffee was expertly crafted and made in an Italian press, per the video I saw on the Aiden’s social media pages, and it wasn’t. All I received was a mediocre coffee that tasted and looked like gas station coffee. I ended up taking a couple sips and throwing it out. After leaving the entire day to explore, we came to the room being untouched, no room service at all. The Aiden was a disappointing experience all around.
