Nice building and aesthetic, but the breakfast and parking need serious attention. A paper bag with bottled juice and squishy items to eat in the room isn’t expected; gravel parking lots are not appropriate for luggage, they should be paved. Otherwise, a clean property with pleasant decor.

Another great stay !
Wonderful return stay at The Priory. We love everything about it: the rooms, the history, Monk’s Bar, and Michael the best bartender! The only thing we still miss is the breakfast as it was pre-Covid.

Great place to stay
We had a great stay at the Priory Hotel. The room was clean. The bed was comfy and had plenty of pillows. There was a small coffee maker in the room. We really like the antique furnishings in the hallways. They have a workout room and computer room in the lower level of the hotel. The parking is free, which is a big bonus in Pittsburgh! They also have a shuttle service too. They offer a hot breakfast, but you have to choose a time for it to be ready. If I had to improve on the breakfast, it would be to make the choices more transparent. We were afraid to order a breakfast muffin, fruit, or yogurt because there were no choices for flavors. The hot breakfast choices were ham or sausage croissants. There was no where to make modifications to say no cheese for those who are lactose intolerant. We ordered one sausage and one ham croissant with egg and cheese. They were the perfect temperature. There was hot coffee and tea in the dining area.

Excellent Boutique Hotel on the North Shore
This is a wonderful place to stay, close to downtown. It has a private courtyard to have coffee in the morning or a drink later at night. Highly recommended.

Really clean.
The architecture was so interesting with nice common areas. The building is beautiful and my room was rather small. I think it was the room I picked. The bed was comfy and the shower had great water pressure. The cleanest hotel I've ever stayed. The neighborhood is in transition but I was just careful. Some homeless people from shelter? Great restaurants a short walk away. Siempre Algo and Fig and Ash Wood were very good.$$$$ Lovely outdoor sitting area at hotel. Here is the not so good. The breakfast had great coffee and water but the croissants were burned and dry. The muffins the next day were good. The juices were sooooo sweet, undrinkably so. My apple was bruised and tiny. Yogurt ok. The night we arrived was a little off putting. I lost my wallet and we were stuck in traffic for two hours after a five hour drive. Asked about parking and got a confusing answer. We just wanted to park close. Gentleman told us to go around corner. There were spots on the closer lot and we took one. Monks was closed and we were not alerted of shuttle. Overall 3 out of 5. I know you've done better and I wanted to give you 5’s but I think the greeting on arrival left us salty.

Memorable last night stay in stunning hotel
Delightful historic hotel steeped in history The staff were very helpful and friendly and even found time to show me around the 'Priory'. Arrived early and room was ready. Bar snacks in the 'Monks Bar' also very tasty and well presented Quite immaculate with lovely traditional furnishings.. Just wished I could have stayed longer

It was a beautiful hotel We had no problems with parking. Perfect location for us. We were able to walk to several locations we wanted to visit. If breakfast is a big meal for you, I suggest you try one of the local diners. They do offer a "packed breakfast" in a pinch. The bed was very comfortable. We would stay there again.

The Priory is a beautiful and comfortable place to stay. The staff checked in with us via text and responded immediately to our request. The hotel is the perfect mix of elegant and historic with modern ammenities. We enjoyed the bagged breakfast outside on the covered porch. There are numerous restaurants within walking distance, unfortunately the walk left us feeling that we should have driven the short distance instead for safety reasons.

Great hotel with a very helpful staff. The area is in the process of re-gentrification but we felt comfortable to be out and about in the neighborhood. The area around the hotel has some beautiful homes. The hotel is beautiful and the historical significance is very evident. Our room was quite large with high ceilings. We did not realize that we were getting breakfast included which was very good.

8/10 Very Good

Overall a very nice hotel option when staying in the Pittsburgh area. The hotel runs a great shuttle service that’s included with your room on the weekend which will take you around town, helping you save on Ubers and Lyfts. While my room was nice and well maintained, it was situated next to the main lobby, which allowed more noise from guests than I would have liked as well as a little more privacy. The neighborhood surrounding the property is fair, seemed like there was a lot of homeless people walking around, which made me feel a little uneasy walking the neighborhood and parking my car on site. I know this is out of the property’s control, so I tried not to let it factor into my review that much. Parking on site is free which is a bonus. Staff were friendly and accommodating, providing local dining recommendations. Overall I would stay at this hotel again 4/5.
