I felt the bathroom floor seemed sticky. The tub area above showed signs of earlier leaks from above. The sink appeared to have rust at the drain. The bathroom mirror lighted edging would pulse in a very disturbing fashion and not stay on constantly.

Comfortable stay
We had a comfortable stay at the La Quinta. The AC was a little off, which is why I set some ratings at a 4 instead of a 5. I believe, however, that the hotel was in the process of fixing an AC issue, since we saw AC equipment in boxes in the lobby and there were several fans set up in common areas.

The hotel smaller musky, like mildew or mold. The room had black mold on the ceiling. We tried checking out early but they informed they wouldnโt check me out. I had to call Expedia for a refund. Expedia advised I needed to speak to them about a refund. Not a good experience.

This is a dirty property with cockroaches in different rooms. They go cheap on pest control, so their guests have to deal with cockroaches. I booked a presidential suite for my guests, and they got it together with roaches. La Quinta offered to move my guests to another room (smaller), but it also had roaches in it, so they had to leave and stay elsewhere. Next Expedia wonโt refund the amount. They offered to refund a quarter of the amount I paid and called it (half) to my face. Is $127 half of $487.88? Because this is Expediaโs math. This is what they are refunding for this horrible experience where we couldnโt even stay at the hotel.

There was a terrible sewer gas type smell throughout the hotel that never went away during our stay. Several other guests I talked to had the same comment. When I checked out, the lady at the front desk did not seem concerned and I felt she brushed me off. We have stayed at several other La Quintas thru the years and loved all of our stays up until this most recent one in Granbury.

More Than Likely Stay Again
My stay was generally good. I would probably stay again. The front desk was very kind. However, there was an odd sharp smell on the main floor. If that had been same on the third floor where I stayed I would not have been able to tolerate it. The daily service was efficient to replace supplies daily which was very appreciated.
