The bed had blood stains and shower was old and dirty i didnโt stay but 2 hours wish i could get a refund!

During my recent stay at Microtel, I encountered a significant ant infestation in my room, which made my stay uncomfortable and unsustainable. Despite reporting the issue to the front desk, I was met with indifference and a lack of concern, as if my predicament was not their priority. This lack of responsiveness and failure to address the problem forced me to cut my stay short. It was disappointing to see such poor service and disregard for guest comfort, and I hope improvements are made in pest control and customer care.

The hotel was nice. It was very convenient to Subway and Cracker Barrel. The only issue I had was the bed was not comfortable for me, but that's just personal preference. We had the queen suite, which was nice with a different sitting area and a table for eating.

The hotel itself is fine. However, I stayed here one week ago today as I was passing back through I decided since I knew they took pets to go ahead and stay again. This time the front desk person told me there was a 35.00 fee.
Now if I had been charged the first time I stayed, then cool. But I wasnโt charged extra my first visit. I told the woman and she started, thatโs our policy. It should be clear to your guests when booking that is an additional charge and not just when they feel like it.

Do not recommend unless you have dogs and barking.
They put us in a room next to a room with 2 barking dogs. They were barking when we first arrived and when my wife asked if they could contact guest the night supervisor was very rude and unprofessional with my wife. He said the only thing he could do was put us in a suite but there would be an up charge. He said there was nothing he could do about the barking dogs next door and reinforced to my wife that it was a pet friendly hotel. He did not apologize for the inconvenience. The carpet was old and dirty and the bathroom floor needed some cleaning. The Tv had poor picture quality and the a/c would not allow you to run fan constantly. The dogs eventually quit barking except for one time during the night. The day time manager was very nice and professional.

Don't stay her. Owner is nasty. I paid an extra $55 to check in early. The sheets were dirty on both beds. The towels were dirty in the room wasn't. I didn't realize the conditions until after 10pm when. We returned to shower and sleep. They moved us to another room. When I asked for a refund of the up charge of course the owner said no. Initially he told me they have a 3 day change linen policy. So the bedding was going to be dirty for new check
In's. Huh!! He had to be corrected by his employee of the situation. While downstairs getting a new room, they ran out of clean towels and linen. Guests asked for clean rags to shower with. I am going to say this was a hard NO. Never again. Trying to support a local own and the conditions were unacceptable and a rude owner.

The hotel was absolutely disgusting. As soon as you walk in it is heavily smelling of bleach. The tub was dripping water all night. The towels were still dirty. The metal they use for the towels were all rusted and molded. This was one of the worst hotels I have been in.

Window seat
The softest towels and very well organized. Except for a few ants that didn't like lysol, the room was cool. I'd stay again. My husband really liked the window seat.

The bed was very hard, the room was dirty. I'm a guy and for dirty to bother me, it has to be noticeably dirty. The exterior of the property looks very nice and the pictures of the rooms look nice, and the price was reasonable for the one night I stayed, so that is why I chose it, but I would never stay there again.
