I would like to report an incident that occurred during my stay at your hotel. This morning, after going down for breakfast (which was excellent), my key card stopped working — I believe it may have been demagnetized from being close to my phone.
When I went to the front desk for assistance, I was attended by a tall man with a beard who was initially quite rude, stating that he couldn’t open the door for me because I didn’t have an ID with me.
I understand there are security protocols, but I believe the situation could have been handled in a more professional and courteous manner, especially since I had simply gone downstairs for breakfast and was still within the hotel premises, accompanied by my children. After the uncomfortable interaction, he then asked for my information and resolved the issue.
I’m sharing this feedback in hopes that future situations can be approached with more empathy and respect toward guests.
