we were locked out of our room numerous times the day we arrived. The front desk clerk came up to our room and upon inspection, he said it was because our door handle was about to fall off. We were then told by this same gentleman to gather ALL of our things, come down to the front desk and they will give us another room, this was midnight or after by then. We did as we were told, packed up ALL of our things, kids, clothes, food, hygiene you name it and headed to the front desk to retrieve a new room and new keys. We get there and were informed our "NEW ROOM"???
Well, it's not only on the same floor as the old room but is located DIRECTLY ACROSS THE HALL from it as well?!?!!!! Upon this moment of realization, I turned back to him, frustration clearly visable on my face, and I said "are you serious right now"?
Sir? YOU just made US pack up EVERYTHING we own, put it on a cart roller, make our way down here to the front desk, all of this, with sleepy whiney kids in tow only to make us go back to where we were-BUT ACROSS THE DANG HALL. Absolutely zero effort was made to compensate us for wasted time or the trouble this caused my family into the wee hours of the morning the same day we checked in. No lunch on them for all of our trouble, no extra day stay free, our last night of stay free not even a discount. My family and I were very very disappointed at the way we were treated and the SEVER lack of BASIC CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS that are DESPERATLY needed in the hotel industry.
