Sea smoke disaster
We booked through hotels.com. This was no hotel! It wasnt even a good Airbnb. We had to climb 48 stairs inside to our 4th floor room, 3 times to get luggage to our room. The mattress was 6 inches off the floor. No mirror in the room. You had to exit the bedroom into the hallway to use the bathroom. And every time you needed to go through a doorway you had to enter a digital access code. The mattress was mounted on a 6" high metal frame which made it extremely difficult to get in and out of bed. It might as well have been laying on the floor.
After booking the room, the "management" insisted on an an extra cleaning fee. And after that another email from management insisted on a large damage deposit threatening withholding the digital door access codes. I had a cut on my elbow and it bled on the sheet. Instead of making an effort to clean the aheets using the money collected for a "cleaning fee" I was charged ocer $100 USD for new sheets. There are entire sheet sets on Amazon for much less money.
