Poor conditions. I don’t usually write this type of review but wanted others to be aware of my disappointment. I read the reviews before I booked this place and could not believe they were favorable. I didn’t expect anything fancy but did expect cleanliness at the minimum. The floor were so dirty my granddaughters feet were filthy walking barefoot in the room. I made them wear their shoes at all times afterwards. I added a picture. This was solely from inside she did not go anywhere , but in the room. Upon check in we were given a room with 3 beds, (upgrade) next day was asked to move because he made an error. Second room floors were also dirty, drain in shower smelled. Strange set up in both rooms, toilet and shower in one and sink in completely different area. Perhaps management has changed I’m not sure but would definitely not recommend.

I had a great stay at Oceanside Inn & Suites. Everything met my expectations for the type of hotel and the price point. The owners have clearly put a lot of care into renewing this older motel—it’s been transformed into a cute, welcoming place with charm and character. The location is ideal—just steps from the beach, with no issues at all finding parking. The room smelled clean, felt fresh, and didn’t have that dingy feel some beachside stays can have. I appreciated the attention to cleanliness and comfort. If you’re looking for an affordable place to stay in Oceanside, this is a solid option. Plus, you’re within walking distance of coffee shops, vintage stores, and other local spots. I would gladly stay here again!

I've heard this place was really rough a few years ago. It seems to be much better now. It offers a clean, basic room at a good price. I wear ear plugs at night so I wasn't bothered, but it seemed like the walls were a bit thin and could be a problem if you are really noise sensitive. Since it is an older place, electrical outlets are very limited. They've tried to add some outlets in some pieces of furniture. Great idea and appreciated, but I had some trouble with them - plugs wouldn't stay connected in the one next to the bed. Speaking of the bed, it was a little softer than I like which may be a feature for others. Nonetheless, the location is great for me when I'm visiting family. A number of restaurants in walking distance (Break Point next door was great for breakfast). On most trips I'm only in the room to to sleep and shower. This place works great for that.

I initially confused this hotel with another property, which affected my initial expectations. While I had previously stayed here and had reservations about returning, I noticed some positive changes. The property shows signs of improvement with fresh paint and general updating efforts. However, there are still areas needing attention. The room layout remains awkward, and housekeeping needs more oversight—I found a used soap bar in the shower, marks on the walls, and sand on the floor. While I appreciate the visible attempts to upgrade the property, there's still work to be done to meet basic cleanliness standards. Credit should be given for the renovation efforts, though attention to detail in room cleanliness would significantly improve the guest experience

The place is close to everything stores, restaurants. The only con is that you can hear all the noise from the other room. Other than that it was good.

Upon checking in, it was done quickly and grateful after a long ride from our home. The front office was very clean and presentable. The room was excellent, smelled so fresh and clean, the beds were made and wish I had my memory foam. Loved the privacy, the food locations were walking distance, Taco Stand, Breakfast at the corner, excellent service, really laid back, across the street was a gas station, 7-11, everything conveniently close by. Even the burger spot was three minutes away Angelo’s Burgers.

The property was in poor condition. It may have been sufficient for a single night, but overall, it was not a good experience. The room appeared nice from the outside but had an unpleasant odor, reminiscent of a public bathroom—possibly mildew. A portable heater was blasting inside, adding to the discomfort. During our stay, there were two beds: a king and a queen, located in separate rooms. The king room had only a sink, while the queen room contained the toilet and shower. Additionally, there were limited outlets; only one was available in the second room with the queen bed. We did not sleep much because we were afraid of being robbed. The windows did not close fully, so we secured the drapes and hoped for the best. Other guests on the property seemed sketchy, watching us as we came and went.
