Lobby and rooms not the cleanest. Elevator broken. Key card coder broken so had no key for over half my stay. The poor staff had to escort guests up to their rooms. Not fair on staff.

I thought the staff was pleasant enough, my biggest quarrel was with the lift being out of service. It was frustrating to walk up 3 flights of stairs to my room with a heavy suitcase, I don’t know how older or disabled folks managed during the time although I’m not sure how busy the hotel was. The room itself was clean, heater/ac unit made a rattle noise, the bed was big and comfy, room itself was also large. You’re walking distance to York’s major sites and the train station, I also noticed frequent bus service in front of the hotel so I imagine other areas of York are also quite accessible.
