The Mermaid was extremely well situated, just a few steps off of Oxford Street and the Bond Street tube, so easy to get around. It was plain, but very clean and perfectly suitable for our needs. The desk clerk was friendly and helpful. No lift, so be mindful of how much luggage you have. I would stay there again.

Excellent location. Near to Bond St underground station & easy to commute to/from Heathrow via Elizabeth line. Walking distance to many places like Oxford St shopping street, SoHo, Carnaby St etc. Many eateries around so easy to get food & groceries. But room is really small if you have big luggages. No lift. Shower area is very tiny with not much room to turn around.

The accommodation is in a perfect location. All the sights are within walking distance. We didn’t need to take a bus or the subway once during our entire stay. The receptionist at check-in was very helpful and friendly, and gave us a larger room than the one we had booked. I didn’t mind the lack of an elevator; walking a few extra steps isn’t a problem for me. The hotel’s furnishings are a bit dated, but everything is clean. The beds are comfortable.
