Upon check-in, we witnessed two guests in front of us canceling their reservation due to the pool being closed. The receptionist greeted us with, "So, are you canceling too?" While we chose not to cancel, I regret not having done so after the experience that followed. The receptionist was unprofessional, offering no explanation about the property, breakfast options, or check-out procedures.
Upon entering our room, we found that the "queen" beds were actually standard twins, which were uncomfortable. When we inquired about this, we were met with a curt response regarding hotel-sized beds. Additionally, the bathroom sliding door lacked a lock, and there was a noticeable gap.
On the second night, while trying to purchase drinks, we encountered another guest attempting to check in, but no staff were available. When the guest knocked on the window, they were rudely told that the receptionist was on a mandatory break and that they would need to wait to check in.
Furthermore, we frequently noticed a strong smell of marijuana seeping into our room. However, the two morning guest service agents were friendly and helpful, providing a positive note to an otherwise disappointing stay.
