I think I'm fairly generous with my reviews in general but it should be an exception this time. I was deeply dissatisfied with the quality of service - dishonest, irresponsive and incompetent and the quality of facility - A/C unit and drainage of a shower unit. Have never experienced like this in the last 20+ years in NYC.
1. Arrived in the hotel after 13+ hours of flight. Need to go to bed ASAP but couln't due to buzzing noise from the heating unit. So, submitted a claim to front desk and was told that they will fix this ASAP and will send somebody up at 11pm EST. No response for 30 min. So, i gave a 2nd call but a different staff answered, saying 'we'll get back to you ASAP'. Now it's close to midnight when i dropped by the front desk by myself. A male receptionist told me that he will not have a day off until my issue is resolved and that please bear with this for a second. I was waiting in the lobby till 12:30am. approached the front desk and was told that there is no room for replacement and that male receptionist already left the hotel. So, dishonest response, incompetence, irresponsiveness of staff members!!!
Next day, i got switched to a different room with slightly less buzz noise from the heating unit but my foot was swimming when taking a shower.
Worst hotel experience ever, despite easy access to public transportation
