All facilities are too old.
All facilities are too old, but the room rate is expensive. A lot of noise from a old room air-condition.

Beautiful Oasis in the heart of Death Valley
The resort is truly an Oasis in the middle of the desert! They have a stargazing area where you can admire the night sky with the many stars, the milky way belt and meteor showers! I loved this the most!!

When we arrived at the hotel, the welcome was top-notch... until we were assigned a room which was standing along a corridor with an unbearable sewer/urine stench. When we returned after dinner, the bad smell was still there, and in our room too. We called reception to alert them and their solution was to spray perfume in the room which vanished after a few minutes. We had to sleep the whole night with the smell in our room.

Hôtel correct but worst restaurant
The hotel is correct. The A/C is very noisy.
The main drawback is the restaurant. Very expensive and bad quality food.
This hotel or their sister hotel provide very bad quality food in their restaurant. We had to go to the next village in the valley to get a good meal at a reasonable price.

Very convenient for a one night stay while passing through Death Valley. The lady at reception (Claire) was very helpful. Nice pool area if it’s not too hot to use and the hotel room was spacious.
Bad points: The service in the restaurant was very poor - when we checked in it was 8.30pm, the restaurant was due to close at 9pm but they wouldn’t seat us despite there being plenty of free tables. We were told we had to sit in the bar area as they didn’t have enough waiting staff. But the nice lady in the bar area was literally run off her feet whilst the head waiter from the restaurant was walking around doing nothing. Very odd experience. The next day at lunch, we had just been served our food and just started to eat when the waiter presented us with the cheque and asked if we could go with him to the till to pay for it straightaway as a shift change was coming up and he needed to get his paperwork in order. We politely declined until we had finished eating…
We had booked a room which included a sofa bed for our two children, although this was clearly stated on the booking, the sofa bed had not been prepared and when we finally got to our room at 10pm, there weren’t even any spare sheets / bedding for us to do it ourselves. We had to wait another half an hour for this to be delivered to the room.
I think the hotel struggled to get staff in August due to the extreme heat but then this should be reflected in the price of the accommodation…
