Thank you Donald for the nice stay at your place!

The Red Rock Inn was well worth the visit. Don shared many interesting stories about the inn’s history. A fascinating stay.

Quaint facility that is a work in progress. We enjoyed our visit.

Great spot looking out at the water, but more importantly what an amaxing history of this Inn and an amazing host to listen. A visit here is unique and will be remembered.

We booked a room at the Inn as a last minute stop while driving across Canada. I only wish I had stayed a few more nights at this unique timecapsule of an Inn. Don was a perfect host full of tales and had a subtle style of staying in the background while getting fellow travellers together.

Good for an overnight stay.

I gave this a 3 as my travel partner thought it was a quaint vintage hotel but we both agree it’s seen much better days. Very odd place - lots of memorabilia if you like that though. Friendly people stayed there and are repeat customers. Owner/manager pleasant to all.

Located besides a lake, very quiet environment. The hotel is like a museum, full of story and history. Very unique. Just a bit too old. Old carpet, old windows, old furnitures.

The Red Rock Inn is a must-stop for any Trans-Canada journey! The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable, but truly the best part is the building itself - the history! It’s a museum of Red Rock’s past and Don is the curator, regaling us with stories from Neil Young connections to the local WW2 POW camp to where all those Nancy Drew books came from. Do yourself a favour and stay here!

Very quaint and interesting atmosphere and staff.

Being a History bug, I loved the facts that it was a prisoner of war camp in WW II for the German prisoners. Donnie the manager was full of facts

The personel were most friendly, full of information. The property is really a museum, also it is improuving and adding to the artefacts. The rooms all very nicely appointed. We stayed on the retro rooms and was very comfortable.

It was so awesome‼️ It has original 1950's decor throughout:) And even though we checked in so late (10 pm), the check-in gentleman still gave us a tour of all the amazingness:) BOOK THIS‼️

Small Town Inn Near Nipigon

Red Rock Inn provides a nostalgic view at inns of the past .In need of some exterior upkeep but provides an amazing look into the past . Lacks some modern touches , AC and in room coffee maker . Don makes an eyeopening coffee for Continental breakfast .Great local restaurant a short walk across a ball diamond field . Definitely worth the visit . Spend some time viewing the memorabilia .

Help this beauty out owners!

This inn is a diamond in the rough. The innkeeper Don is a delight but it is shameful to let this beautiful historic site decay. I would love to see the porch repaired with new furniture and the whole outside could use paint and new windows. Otherwise it was quiet, comfort able and the bathrooms were modern. I don't need TV so I never missed it.

Vintage Vibe

Owner was entertaining and a historian. Outside appearance is not as shown on website. Outside needs improvements. The structure was old but has potential to be a beautiful inn.

Updated small clean room in historic building. Great place to get a little history and stay somewhere different.

Take a step back in time and pause to let proprietor Donny Evans bring it to life for you! A truly peaceful unique place to stay.

The host made us feel right at home. Told us a lot about the place and shared some good stories.

8/10 Very good

Staying at the Red Rock Inn was a truly memorable experience, if not for the historic and pop culture memorabilia, for the Inn's proprietor, Don, who's happy to share his stories about the place and local history. The variety of homemade banana bread was a nice touch!

Red Rock Inn “rocks”

Always love staying here. It’s such an interesting Inn with so much charm and history. We have to stay on a Saturday sometime so that we can see the band The Inn Mates. So much better to stay here where it’s safe than to try and find a decent place in ThunderBay.

This hotel is a hidden gem. Facilities were clean and the owner Don was fantastic. So much memorabelia around the hotel, it was like a timewarp in the best way. I would go back here again and again.
