Beautiful peaceful and rural location with friendly host who welcomed us. Rooms were connected, which was great. Gardens were beautiful too.
Breakfast was delicious and there were numerous coffee top-ups. The host remembered our coffee/tea preferences and brought hot drinks first thing in the morning when we were sitting on the patio enjoying the birdsong in the gardens.
When he heard that one of our party was a history teacher, he spent time showing us his amazing collection of artefacts from World War One, many of which had been found in the gardens. He was so generous and made such a positive impact on our stay, bringing history to life and helping us to understand the awful battle at Gueudecourt. Highly recommend this property and will visit again in future.
