2/10
I made 2 simultaneous online bookings for rooms, because I was travelling with 2 Indian friends.
On arrival, although I showed them both vouchers, they argued they had received only one from Expedia (hotels.com), and didnโt want to provide 2 rooms. Technical problems can happen, but it feels strange to have to convince them that my e-voucher isnโt fake, that surely they will receive the confirmation later (we stayed at least 2 nights), that we wouldnโt run away and didnโt need to re-pay (in cash) as they demanded.
Finally they reluctantly accepted to show us 2 rooms, start registration... and then, they decided that one one the ID proofs wasnโt sufficient (why would an Indian guy need a passport in India??) based on ยซ their rules ยป. Rules that they refused to show, although I asked for the general terms and conditions of the hotel for confirmation. Escalating to the manager didnโt change anything...
So we had to go somewhere else, in the middle of the night. Although all was prepaid.
Quite a nice ยซ business ยป indeed: pretend to be a hotel, take the money, refuse the customers...
