Excellent value for money. The inclusive breakfast was fantastic. Staff were really friendly. The location was great for the town centre and a lovely riverside walk just a few minutes away. Wi-fi worked really well and free parking at the rear of the hotel was much appreciated.

Excellent from beginning to end
Check in was smooth. Room was clean and adequately equipped. Towels changed and toiletries etc replenished daily. Breakfast choice was great food excellent. We dined in on the Sunday evening after a splendid afternoon at Carlisle races, outstanding food, cooked to perfection. Special mention for Kyle behind the bar and waitering, 5⭐ service, a real asset to your establishment, polite, knew his job and was great at it too all done with a smile. Would I recommend the Cumbria hotel to fellow travelers, without hesitation. We will definitely be returning, hopefully Kyle will still be there 👍

Last minute

After a very easy and helpful check in. The reception moved us to a quiet room overlooking the car park and not the main road. Our room was quite spacious and the bed comfortable. Plenty of storage space for clothes. Well appointed small bathroom with f=good shower.

Single room, had larger sized single bed that was extremely comfortable. Room good, bathroom dated. Clean but not sparkling. The breakfast buffet was the best I've had in recent years of staying at cheapish travel stopovers. Staff fantastic.
