Horrible experience
Well it said check in deadline was 8 pm, we got there at 7:35 to find no one around. Called the number with no answer, left a message got no reply. Never got to check in. Had to go back to the last town and get a room.

Not advertised clearly
It is a very convenient location if you are skiing- because of that I would consider staying again. But that’s the only reason. It advertises that all rooms come with a TV- well they do have a TV screen, but no cable or antenna/ nothing. Not even a remote control. When told the front desk - they said “ya you have to bring a fire stick or something. And we will get some new remote controls ordered”. - thanks for the heads up. LOL It was not very clean. (Mainly because everything is old and needs a good deep clean) but had old coffee in coffee pot, Bobby pins on floor, etc. it was fine for the teenage boys I brought skiing though: we stayed on a Thursday night and sipapu restaurant is not open on Thursday nights either. So pack food, and something to plug into a TV. Because after 5:00 there’s nothing to do.

Pretty disappointing as on site restaurant closed early and before arrival so had to drive to find dinner. Staff shortage that wasn’t disclosed at time of booking. Next day the only way to get food was through online app that was down along with a water main break. So again no food other than a package of pop tarts found in their “store”. The room itself was dirty with piece of chewed gum on floor and pistachio shells. No working tv either. Beds were comfortable at least and was more quiet than expected.

4/10 Fair

The only good thing about this resort is the ski mountain itself. Staff is rude, not welcoming in any way whatsoever, hotel room was hardly clean, and the “cafe/restaurant” stated it was open yet they don’t actually have any tables to dine in. This resort has so much potential yet it’s rated 2 stars for a reason.

worst "resort" ever!
The room was filthy. The beds were sagging in the middle. The heater did not work. The manager was extremely rude. The clerk was kind and apologetic. We did not stay here because the room was so awful and the manager was extremely unhospitable. I will never consider staying at Sipapu again.

Off-Season--hopefully better when season arrives.
We stayed at Sipapu Ski and Summer Resort off-season and it showed. There were people there who appeared to be workers and hopefully everything will be better when the season arrives. We arrived just before dark and had to drive all the way to Taos to find somewhere to eat.

rustic but suitable for 1 night.
Old and rustic. Gravel parking lot. TV in room but does not get any stations. No cable. No wifi. Heat didn't work. No phones in room and minimally staffed in off season. Beddeing was decent and the shower was hot.

The bathroom floor looked like it hadn’t been mopped in about a year. The bathroom towels look old and discolored. The carpet wasn’t vacuumed well.
