Good things;
- staff mostly tried their best, were polite and apologetic.
- lots of options for breakfast
- they moved our room
- new loft smells amazing, honestly this was our best compliment we could offer.
Bad things;
- didn’t receive a welcome drink as advertised.
- restaurant is supposed to be open all day but when we arrived at 12:15, no one was around for 45 minutes, and we didn’t get food until 13:45.
- we expected bugs, but our room was FULL of ants, three nests. They moved us, but the other room was just as bad.
- we had no water in our new room for a FULL DAY. we called reception many times but they just kept telling us it was maintenance. We weren’t informed of this and were offered no compensation. We couldn’t shower, use the sink or flush the toilet from 8am until 8pm. We called AGAIN at around 2pm and they said it would be fixed in 10 minutes. Eventually at around 8pm they sent someone to fix the problem in our room. The next morning the water was pouring out black.
- every time we used the restaurant, they didn’t know what they had on their own menu. Everything we ordered they said ok and then would call back and say it’s unavailable. But then they would change their minds. It was very confusing and took a very long time. We often had to wait an hour just to get food.
Supposed to be a four star hotel, but did not live up to standard.
