The staff was phenomenal! We were told the only room left in the entire hotel was downstairs in the basement.. this requires us to take an elevator down to the basement and it smelled when we got to the landing. The room was clean however was tiny.

Clean but tiny - wouldn’t stay again
After reading previous reviews I was aware that we may get a room without a window, however we arrived at the hotel too early to check in but we asked to leave our cases so we could explore. We also asked if there was a room with window available and we were told by 2 people that yes there was and that they would give us that room. We arrived back shortly after 2pm to be told we were in the basement in a room with no window. The room was clean but tiny and the toilet very rarely flushed properly and kept running constantly which is annoying to listen to when you’re trying to sleep. There are tea and coffee sachets with a kettle but no milk. We bought some milk from the nearby shop. The hotel is based in quite a busy cafe, so you often have to wait in a queue to speak to staff. The staff were polite and our room was clean however I would not choose to stay here again. I believe there are better hotels for the price we paid.

Didn't like the fact that the room we had didn't have any windows. Other than that the stay was excellent

Decent value
This was serviceable. Everything is expensive I. This city. That being said it was a decent value. There was a/c, tv with a bunch of channels and working WiFi. The rest was mediocre but I booked last minute and it was a life saver.

6/10 Good

Booked the hotel for a short overnight stay, due to its proximity to Paddington Station (15 minute walk) to catch the Heathrow Express. The room was on the lower level, so it had no windows or any natural light. The room was clean and spacious. The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel reception is in a cafe, so can get a little cramped when checking in and out and if you are leaving your bags in storage, I'd recommend waiting until the staff have put them away downstairs. The hotel is located on Edgeware Road, where it is predominantly middle eastern shops and restaurants. If the middle east experience is not for you, a 20-30 minute walk will get you to Oxford Street, Marble Arch and Hyde Park. I'd recommend this hotel if you were after a reasonably priced short stay.

Value for money
Location is very good as it is near the tube station and also has supermarkets meat it. Rooms are slightly small but have all basic things. Most importantly the people managing it really know the meaning of hospitality and extremely polite and nice. I wpuld recomment travellers to go thetrwho have work in this area.

Ok
The hotel was small cosy but just what's needed, the staff could be a bit more welcoming, the breakfast is average nothing too fancy, it needs to be highlighted clearer as to how it all works, the room with no window was perfect for a quiet nights sleep

2/10 Poor

A hateful night.
I booked in to the hotel & when we arrived, were shown down to room 403, which seemed fine, except the toilet was constantly on a flush & wouldn't stop. We'd only arrived to drop bags off & then go out, so I mentioned this to the reception man & then went out. On returning (around 8pm), the flushing had stopped, but as soon as I flushed the toilet, it did the same & kept running. I tried to call reception, but the phones didn't work, so I went up. The receptionist (lady this time) called the man & tried to fix it in whatever way he had & couldn't, so we were offered a different room (401). We went in there & there was a distinct smell of drains in there (along with around a dozen air fresheners to cover it up), but it was quiet & it was the only room available, so we took it. Then, around 10pm, there was a mass of noise from the room next door, which sounded like 20 dishwashers all running at the same time & ran through the night constantly. When I spoke to the man in the morning, he said it was the draining pumping system & there was nothing he could do. This can't be the first time anyone who has had the misfortune to end up in room 401 has complained. If someone had said "Sorry, the toilet is broken & the only room we have has a massive noise all through the night", then I would have refused & just asked for a refund & gone away. We walked out without touching the breakfast we'd paid for, which looked as pitiful as that room. Good area for tube stop though.

strabge but good value
Strange place to stay, entry through a coffee shop. My room was in basement and next to lift and maintenance room of some sort. freaky green glow from sliding door in my room which was locked but peering through the small gap showed LED displays i assume on boilers etc. Very small room but air con worked so did not feel too stuffy. Bed comfy and clean. Shower room small but adequate for one night, would not want to stay much longer than that, Staff friendly and helpful. Good value overall

Tiny room but convenient location
This hotel had all the basics, although there was no bar fridge in the room. Our room was tiny but had a newly renovated en-suite. The hotel has a lift and air conditioning. The entrance was via a ground floor coffee shop which was convenient for drinks, and there was a great range of restaurants within short walking distance on Edgware road. Bus and train stations also very close. Staff were friendly and helpful.
